Home for the spiders?....

Pulled the diff out this afternoon, Lucky I did as the diff housing was full of grime and rusty water.

The dirt would have made a mess of the diff and bearings.
Started with the axles, the first one out was reasonable clean but the second (right rear) was a mess. Decided to remove the diff

and it was full of rubbish and rusty water as well, even though the diff moves, a lot of rubbish between the cogs, needs to be washed out with high pressure and maybe a can of grease.Well
Today went to the local tip and picked up my $5.00 work bench. Needed something for the rear axles to "preserve my back" and this is about the best thing I could find.

Over the next few weeks it is anticipated the Rear axles, housing and brakes will be serviced. Here the rear axle is being hit with a wire brush, the gearbox cleaned and offered a lick of paint.
